Scones have been replaced by the
ubiquitous muffins in the last few years but now the tide is turning.
Scones are having a revival but not the scones that we have become so
familiar with over the past few years - dry, flat and hard. I am so
often disappointed when I have occasionally treated myself to an
afternoon tea of scones, jam and cream to be presented with a couple of
small, hard biscuits with one or two sultanas added so they can be
called fruit scones. I have been experimenting with scones and different flavours and have included this one to try. Let me know how you get on with it. Scones: Vanilla and mascarpone scones |
